BeeHop is designed to help children, parents, carers, educators and support staff with communication, routines, feelings and wellbeing support.

Your privacy is important to us. BeeHop has been designed with a privacy-first approach and keeps your information under your control.

This Privacy Policy explains what information BeeHop stores, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

 

Information Stored in BeeHop

BeeHop may store information that you choose to enter into the app, including:

• Child profiles
• Profile photographs (if added)
• Communication cards and custom vocabulary
• Quick phrases
• Routines and schedules
• Feelings check-ins
• Sleep logs
• Eating logs
• Toileting logs
• Bristol stool tracking entries
• Seizure logs
• Sensory observations
• Caregiver notes
• Wellbeing reports generated by the app

All information is entered voluntarily by the user.

 

How BeeHop Uses Information

The information stored in BeeHop is used only to provide the app’s features, including:

• Supporting communication
• Managing routines and daily activities
• Tracking wellbeing information
• Creating reports and summaries
• Personalising the experience for each child

BeeHop does not use personal information for advertising, profiling or marketing purposes.

 

Where Information Is Stored

By default, BeeHop stores information locally on your device.

At the time of publication, BeeHop:

• Does not use developer-operated servers
• Does not upload profile information to external services
• Does not synchronise data through third-party cloud services
• Does not transmit child profile information to BeeHop or the developer
• Does not require account creation

Your information remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

 

Accounts and Sign-In

BeeHop does not require users to create an account.

At the time of publication, BeeHop can be used without registration, usernames, passwords or online account creation.

This helps keep setup simple and ensures your information remains under your control on your own device.

 

Sharing Information

BeeHop does not sell, rent or share personal information with third parties.

Information is only shared when a user deliberately chooses to:

• Export a report
• Share a report
• Share exported data
• Use Apple system sharing features

Users remain responsible for deciding who receives exported information.

 

Children’s Privacy

BeeHop is intended to be configured and managed by parents, carers, educators and support staff.

The app is designed to support children but does not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising, marketing or tracking purposes.

 

Analytics, Advertising and Tracking

BeeHop does not use advertising networks.

BeeHop does not track users across apps or websites.

BeeHop does not use third-party analytics services.

BeeHop does not sell, analyse or monetise user data.

 

Security

BeeHop takes a privacy-first approach by keeping information on the user’s device.

Users are encouraged to protect their devices using passcodes, Face ID, Touch ID or other security features provided by Apple.

While reasonable measures are taken to protect information, no method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

 

Data Retention

Information remains available until it is deleted by the user.

Users may delete profiles, notes, logs and other stored information within BeeHop at any time.

 

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including:

• Accessing information
• Correcting information
• Deleting information
• Exporting information

Many of these actions can be performed directly within BeeHop.

If you are located in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR where applicable.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.

Any updates will be published on this page and the date above will be revised accordingly.

 

Subscriptions

BeeHop offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock the full app after the free trial.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple through your Apple ID.

Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by opening Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.

BeeHop does not receive or store your payment card information.
